Ticket transfer guide

The current holder transfers the paid ticket: they send the registration link to the buyer, arrange payment, and finally confirm the handover. Routine organiser approval is not needed.

  1. Open your paid ticket

Sign in to the ticket portal with the current holder's email for a paid ticket. Go to My tickets → open the ticket → Transfer ticket. A checked-in ticket cannot be transferred.

  2. Enter the recipient's details

Enter the buyer's name and email, then press Start ticket transfer. Phone is optional. If their RoadbookRally email differs, enter it too; otherwise the buyer email is used. The transfer starts immediately and you keep the ticket for now.

  3. Send the RoadbookRally link

Each transfer receives a dedicated RoadbookRally registration invite. When the invite is ready, the secure view shows a link and deadline. Complete registration by the deadline shown in the secure view. The invite is single-use and is revoked when the buyer's entry is found or the transfer is cancelled or expires. Public registration stays closed and transfers do not wait for each other. Send the invite link to the buyer yourself. They must register with exactly the displayed email and choose their own class; it need not match the previous rider's class. Press Confirm RBR registration to check the entry immediately; an automatic check also runs about every 15 minutes. The check itself does not transfer the ticket.

  4. Settle payment privately

Arrange payment directly with the buyer. The Alakonnu Ralli portal does not collect funds or track private payment. Make sure your agreement is settled before final confirmation.

  5. Confirm the final handover

Once the buyer has registered on RoadbookRally and payment is settled, check the confirmation box in the secure view and press ‘Buyer has registered in RBR — complete transfer’. Finding the buyer's entry does not transfer the ticket: it remains with you until you confirm. The system then verifies the entry and switches the old and new riders. This cannot be undone.

  6. New ticket

After successful checks, the buyer receives a new QR ticket and email. If verification stalls, the current holder keeps the ticket and the organiser can retry finalisation.

What changes with the ticket?

The new holder receives the event entitlement and a new QR ticket. The participant name and email on accommodation linked to that ticket change to the new holder's. Accommodation not linked to this ticket does not transfer automatically. If the previous rider had a rider number, it moves to the buyer. The purchased ticket type and its entitlements do not change. The original order, invoice, payment history, and Supporter shirt fulfilment remain with the original buyer.

If the transfer stalls

If your registration invite is being prepared, wait for the view to refresh automatically. If the RoadbookRally entry does not appear or finalisation stalls, contact the organisers. They can retry a failed finalisation. You can cancel before finalisation.
